Internal Medicine Meeting 2026
ACP’s Internal Medicine Meeting 2026 in San Francisco was once again a highly successful gathering of over 8,000 ACP internal medicine members. The meeting featured more than 170 scientific sessions on a wide range of internal medicine clinical subspecialty and generalist topics ranging from sessions on AI and health policy issues to behavioral health and new digital health tools.
Ashish K. Jha, MD, MPH, a global leader driving public health research, policy, and practice and a Senior Fellow at the Belfer Center at Harvard’s Kennedy School, delivered the keynote talk at the Opening Ceremony on Clinical Leadership and Trust in the Age of Information Chaos.

New in Annals of Internal Medicine: Hear It First From the Authors
In this year’s scientific plenary session, Annals of Internal Medicine presented three breaking scientific research articles and featured the authors of those articles. Christine Laine, MD, MPH, Annals of Internal Medicine Editor in Chief and ACP Senior Vice President, introduced the authors and facilitated a discussion to gain further insights into their work. Returning Favorites
The ACP Career and Professional Development Center offered a robust collection of professional development resources and tools to help attendees learn, network, and grow in their career, including Mini But Mighty Academic Skills Sessions, one-on-one career coaching sessions, opportunities at the Job Placement Center, and the Abstract and Poster displays.
Doctor’s Dilemma®
The coveted Osler Cup was presented to the Connecticut team from Bridgeport Hospital for winning Doctor’s Dilemma. ACP Doctor’s Dilemma® competition is an annual competition that evaluates the medical knowledge of up to 60 internal medicine residency teams, each representing an ACP chapter.

Clinical Skills Center
The popular Clinical Skills Center offered hands-on learning opportunities, including practice performing common procedures, refining interpretive skills, and updating physical examination skills in a small-group learning environment.

Convocation Ceremony
ACP’s annual Convocation Ceremony honored in-person recipients of outstanding contributions to medicine, recognizing 265 new Fellows, 59 members elected to Mastership, and the recipients of 23 national awards, recognizing excellence in clinical work, mentorship, education and teaching, and career support.
